Advice & guides
Your cards. Your qualifications. All in order.
A simple way to organise your evidence before the next recruitment conversation.
Bring the records together
Start with the cards and qualification certificates relevant to your work. Keep a clear copy of each document and use a file name you can recognise later. If a card has useful information on both sides, keep both sides together.
Check what the document actually says
Record the qualification or card name, issuing organisation and the dates shown. Some documents describe a specific category or scope, so keep that detail visible. If you are unsure about an expiry date, check with the issuer rather than inventing one.
Make copies readable
Photograph documents in good light, on a flat surface, with all edges visible. Check that the text can be read before saving the image. Avoid glare, shadows and a camera angle that makes the writing difficult to follow.
Match evidence to the opportunity
Keep your experience and qualifications up to date, then discuss the evidence needed for a specific role. A document on its own does not describe everything you have done or establish suitability for every assignment. Explain the practical experience alongside it.
